Stars, they’re just like Us — they can’t get enough of Vanderpump Rules, either! Whether it’s yearning for the lavish lifestyle of Lisa Vanderpump or enjoying the bromance between Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz, celebrities including Jennifer Lawrence and Rihanna have no qualms proclaiming their love for the beloved Bravo series.
The reality show, which premiered in 2013, follows the lives of Vanderpump and her SUR employees. Over the years, the SURvers have amassed their own fans, especially OG stars Stassi Schroeder, Jax Taylor, Kristen Doute, Katie Maloney, Scheana Shay and Sandoval.
Schwartz, Ariana Madix and James Kennedy were full-time cast members by season 3. Come season 4, Lala Kent, Faith Stowers and Brittany Cartwright had popped up on the series.
Cast members Schroeder and Doute, as well as newbies Max Boyens and Brett Caprioni, made headlines in June 2020 after they were fired from the series.
The women were axed after their racially charged past comments about former costar Stowers resurfaced. Stowers revealed during an Instagram Live that Schroeder and Doute once tried to turn her into the cops for a crime she didn’t commit.
A source told Us Weekly at the time that the remaining cast members were “shocked” by the exits of their longtime costars. Boyens and Caprioni, for their part, were also let go due to their past controversial tweets. All four former reality stars apologized for their past actions.
Six months later, fans were again left stunned when Taylor and his wife, Cartwright, announced their departure from the series.
“The last 8 years on Vanderpump Rules have been some of the most challenging, rewarding and fulfilling years of my life,” the couple wrote in a joint statement in December 2020 ahead of season 9 of the show. “Although this is difficult to share, Brittany and I will not be returning for another season. Thank you to all the fans who have shared our journey with us and supported us through everything. We love you.”
No matter which stars are feuding on Vanderpump Rules or having issues at SUR, celebrity fans continue to tune in to see the drama unfold. In fact, Kaley Cuoco revealed in 2018 that she really “loves” the show and “can only hope” to join the cast for an episode.
“So we get there and they were shooting, I don’t think we [me and my girlfriends] said one word to each other, we were watching the whole thing go down,” the actress said on The Talk, recalling her outing to TomTom with pals. “Then, Lisa walks up and she was so precious. I said, ‘Lisa, we are in heaven right now, this is like the greatest thing ever.'”
