The actress, 39, and the War on Drugs singer, 42, are still on good terms after their breakup, according to In Touch, and simply grew apart.

Us Weekly confirmed Ritter’s romance with the “Lost in the Dream” artist in August 2014, with a source noting at the time that the duo’s connection “started with her being a fan of [his] band.” Nearly five years later, the Gilmore Girls alum announced her first pregnancy by debuting her growing baby bump on the Oscars red carpet.

“Surprise!” she captioned a series of Instagram posts from the event in February 2019.

Five months later, the former Jessica Jones star celebrated her transition to motherhood with a music-themed baby shower. “My best friends threw me a baby shower and my heart is exploding,” she gushed via social media in July 2019.

The Pennsylvania native gave birth to her baby boy, Bruce Julian Knight, later that month. Since his arrival, Ritter has kept her son’s face hidden on social media, but still gives fans glimpses of her life at home with her little one.

Becoming a mom has allowed Ritter to “be a kid again myself,” she told HollywoodLife in September 2020, adding, “Getting to see the world through his eyes and find joy in playing with toys and things like dancing to ‘Baby Shark,’ getting dressed up for Halloween is the BEST!”

While she admitted she had “no idea how any of this works” at first, parenting has been “a gift.” She told the outlet, “I’m just trying to be present and do my best and not waste time worrying about balance. I definitely try and get as much done during that nap time as possible and then I just focus on soaking up the baby every day.”

On a typical day in her life, Raisman will do a Pilates session to maintain her svelte physique. After years of intense training, the three-time Olympic gold medalist found that the method — which involves low-impact flexibility and muscular strength and endurance movements — not only benefited her body, but her mind too. “When I have a good workout, I feel more calm and I feel more connected to my body,” she told Women’s Health in January. “That is a very different answer that I would have given you a couple of years ago.
