Even stars deserve a nice break! While celebrities like Meryl Streep and Beyoncé are always traveling the world for work, they also enjoy some downtown for themselves all over the world. The actress, 70, loves the colonial San Miguel de Allende in Mexico, while the songstress, 38, enjoys exotic countries such as Thailand and Iceland. Tahiti

After returning from the South Pacific, Ellen DeGeneres shared details of her 2017 spring break with her audience. “In case you don’t know, Tahiti is a Polynesian word meaning ‘drunk on the beach,’” the daytime talk champ, 61, joked, before complimenting the friendly locals. “The island is so beautiful,” she said. “It seems like every photo you take is a postcard.”

Streep has previously jetted from Hollywood to the colonial-era Mexican town of San Miguel de Allende, known for its cobblestone streets, baroque architecture and vibrant markets. Like anyone else she did a little shopping while happily posing for photos.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg spent part of 2017 teaching law school students on the Mediterranean archipelago of Malta. She also gave lectures in Utah, Colorado and New Mexico.

Jennifer Lopez loves ritzy European destinations — she has previously hung out in Paris, Monte Carlo and St. Tropez. But shortly after hooking up with now fiancĂ© Alex Rodriguez in 2017, she turned up and turned heads in a lime-green bra top at the beachside gym at Baker’s Bay Golf & Ocean Club in the Bahamas.
