A pitch-perfect romance! While Brittany Snow and Tyler Stanaland have kept their relationship relatively private through the years, the twosome are basking in newlywed bliss.
“I love being married,” the Pitch Perfect star exclusively gushed to Us Weekly in December 2021. “It’s not any different, but being married in a pandemic is really like the test of everything if we can get through that, we’re good to go. If anything, it was the ultimate honeymoon because we were just staring at each other for six months, just here it is, you know?”
Snow, who began dating the Selling the OC personality in 2018, further opened up to Us about their private romance and quarantining together amid the coronavirus pandemic shortly after their nuptials.
“I don’t really like to talk about personal stuff because I find that it’s a little strange to talk about my husband when he’s not here in that way,” the Almost Family alum told Us at the time. “But I do love being married [and] I love him and we had a really great time together in terms of quarantine, you know, we did manifestation boards and stuff like that … that it’s been really fun.”
Snow — who has previously been linked to Ryan Rottman, Andrew Jenks and Tyler Hoechlin — began dating Stanaland after he slid into her social media messages.
“I’m very public about it for the first time in my life and that’s very strange to me. I made a conscious decision — I’m very private and I made a conscious decision to, I don’t know, be less hard on myself,” she gushed to Us in September 2018, noting that she was “in love” with the Oppenheim Group realtor. “I keep things very to myself because I feel like the magic gets lost if you promote it too much, but I don’t know! When you’re in love … I just don’t want to think about it too much anymore.”
After one year of dating, Stanaland proposed to the Hairspray actress before they tied the knot in March 2020.
“In early March, before we knew how much we’d miss hugs and live in our sweatpants, I got to marry my favorite person. The whole world shut down a few days later & we were stunned at the timing,” Snow captioned their wedding photos via Instagram in July 2020. “We knew we felt incredibly lucky to have found each other but we had no idea how lucky it would be to get married right before a monumental time in our history.”
She added: “Everything that could have gone wrong, went wrong that day … but it was absolutely and impossibly perfect. I knew on that day, more than ever before, there was no one else I’d rather hold my hand while in the middle of a (life) hurricane. I love you @tylerstanaland. You’re my dream come true. ”

The pair initially connected in “the most millennial way" — via Instagram. “I knew of Britt for obvious reasons, but she was my unattainable crush forever,” the real estate agent told The Knot in March 2020. “As a man, I used to watch Pitch Perfect with friends and [thought] ‘Brittany Snow… One day.’ But never thinking it would ever happen.” Eventually, Stanaland worked up the courage to reach out to his celebrity crush. “I sent a direct message with the most embarrassing pickup line. A dad joke,” he recalled to the magazine. The September Letters cofounder was ultimately impressed by her man’s sense of humor. "I saw his Instagram and knew of him. And was like, 'That is the best looking man ever,’” Snow told The Knot. “I always knew of him and was like, 'I'll never meet him.' My girlfriends and I had an inside joke where my one best friend referred to him as my 'dream boyfriend who lives in Orange County,' but I was never gonna meet him. And then one day I realized he was following me on Instagram. I got really excited.” SplashNews.com

“A couple weeks ago, I said ‘YES’ about a million times to the man of my wildest & most beautiful dreams,” Snow wrote, confirming via Instagram that her beau had popped the question. “After celebrating with friends and family, we wanted to let a few more friends (you guys) know… this happened. I’m still pinching myself and thanking my lucky stars for the truest feeling I’ve ever felt. Thank you @tylerstanaland for the happiest day of my life & for not proposing in this creepy empty restaurant.” Courtesy Brittany Snow/Instagram

Ahead of the duo’s romantic nuptials, they agreed on a joint bachelor and bachelorette bash. “I always thought it was very strange when — I understand why people want to do different days because they want to let their hair down. But for me, I feel like I’d miss you,” Snow exclusively told Us. “He’s my Prince Charming come to life, but he’s a surfer.” Bauer-Griffin / SplashNews.com

“I love being married,” Snow exclusively told Us that December. “I don't really like to talk about personal stuff because I find that it's a little strange to talk about my husband when he's not here in that way. Stanaland claimed his Selling the OC costar Kayla Cardona tried to kiss him multiple times during filming. "On the show, out of respect for her, I am just kind of trying to minimize it and brush past it so that ... there isn't drama," he said on the "Reality Life with Kate Casey" podcast. "We can all focus on what we should be doing. ... It was just ... something that, you know, you don’t do to somebody who is married." Alex Berliner/Invision/AP/Shutterstock; Katie Jones/Shutterstock

Stanaland told Us that Snow tuned into Selling the OC, but her reaction to the Cardona drama is “something that I will just keep between us.” “She watched it. I mean, she thought — like everybody else did — it’s entertaining. It’s a lot, but it’s good,” he said, adding that the twosome “keep our professional lives separate. And that was kind of a decision that we made long ago, and this was something that I did for myself and I kind of just wanted to keep it that way.” He also shared Snow's reaction to his quip that he ranks surfing over his love for the actress: “This is a funny thing. This is such a foot-in-mouth situation, and it was meant to be a joke. But no, she knows how much I love surfing, but she knows how much I care about her, my family. She wasn’t mad, but she was like, ‘You would say that.’” Shutterstock (2); Courtesy of Kayla Cardona/Instagram

The pair announced their separation after more than two years of marriage. “After time and consideration, Britt and I have made the difficult decision to separate,” Stanaland wrote via Instagram alongside a black and white photo of the duo riding the subway. “This decision was made with love and mutual respect for one another. We have realized we need to take some time and make sure we are each living our most fulfilling and authentic lives. We started this journey as best friends and our relationship will continue to be a priority not only for us but for our dog Charlie. We sincerely appreciate your support and ask for privacy as we navigate this new chapter.” Snow, for her part, shared the same statement and snap, simply swapping out her name for Stanaland’s John Photography/Shutterstock
