Celebrity Couples Who Stayed Together After Cheating Scandals

Celebrity couples have their ups and downs just like Us. From Beyoncé and Jay-Z to Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott, many Hollywood marriages have overcome allegations of infidelity over the years.

Vanderpump Rules stars Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor worked through Taylor’s cheating past — he was caught hooking up with former costar Faith Stowers during season 6 — ahead of tying the knot in June 2019.

“I see him every single day making efforts and he’s completely changed the way he treats me, the way he talks to me, the way he listens to me. Every single thing about our relationship is better,” Cartwright told Us Weekly exclusively in November 2018. “I know how much he’s wanting the wedding and how much he’s wanting to marry me, how much effort he’s putting into the wedding, just as much as me. I don’t know, whenever you know somebody as well as I know Jax, you can just tell.”

In 2017, multiple reports surfaced that Kevin Hart cheated on his wife, Eniko Parrish, while was pregnant with their first child. The couple have since repaired their relationship, but it wasn’t easy.

“This was a bad one. This was major,” Parrish said during an episode of Hart’s Netflix docuseries, Don’t F—k This Up, which dropped in 2019. “Nine years and I think looking forward, it’ll be better. I believe in second chances. I’m all about forgiveness, and you only get two times. Three strikes you’re out, you’re out of here. So, as long as he behaves, we’re good.”

The Jumanji: Next Level actor opened up about the couple’s road to recovery in May 2020, saying that it “wasn’t a walk in the park” to get back to a good place. He explained on “The School of Greatness” podcast that following his apology, Parrish held him “accountable for his actions.

“She came to an amazing conclusion of, ‘I like the fact that we have a family, that we have a household, and I like the fact that we now got a job to do to get better,” he recalled. “That’s what you owe me. You owe me the get-better.’”

Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson also faced a cheating scandal while the reality star was pregnant with their daughter, True, in 2018. Although the two worked through the incident, the pair later called it quits in February 2019, after the NBA star was caught cheating again, this time with Kylie Jenner’s former best friend Jordyn Woods.

Us confirmed in August 2020, that the duo have rekindled their romance after successfully coparenting and spending time apart for more than a year.

Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson

The Cleveland Cavaliers star cheated on Kardashian with multiple women, and the news of his infidelity broke just days before the April 2018 birth of their first child, daughter True. Nevertheless, the couple soldiered on, and Kardashian explained the decision on Twitter that June after another user criticized her for staying with the NBA player. “You have no knowledge of what goes on in our household or the enormous rebuilding this takes to even coexist,” she wrote. “I’m proud of my strength. I appreciate your opinion and I hope you hold that same opinion to everyone else who has stayed in situations.”

However, Kardashian and Thompson split in February 2019 after the basketball star was caught cheating with Kylie Jenner’s then-best friend Woods. A source told Us at the time that "Khloé loved Jordyn before this. This is completely shocking to Khloé’s family." In November 2018, the pair welcomed their second child, son Jace, and in March 2019, Kramer again opened up about her rocky relationship, revealing that Caussin had suffered a “massive” relapse in his sex addiction about a year prior. Since then, the duo has been vocal about working through their struggles.

“Being the perpetrator, it’s hard because there’s a lot of shame behind things that I’ve done and topics that we talk about,” the former NFL player told Us in January 2019. “But by doing [therapy and talking on our podcast], we’ve gotten more comfortable in dealing with them head-on, which has been great for our relationship.
