And that’s a wrap on 2022! From Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Lopez to the British royals, celebrities stole the show throughout the year on red carpets and beyond.
In March, the Skims CEO and the stand-up comedian went Instagram official with a chic at-home photo shoot. “Whose car are we gonna take?!” Kardashian captioned the pics, one of which showed Davidson lying on his back on the floor with his head in the Hulu star’s lap.
“I love this,” Khloé Kardashian commented on the couple’s social media debut, while longtime pal Simon Huck added, “There he is! .”
While their relationship was one of the most-talked about of the year, the unexpected love story didn’t last. Us Weekly confirmed in August that Kardashian and the King of Staten Island star called it quits after less than one year together.
“There truly wasn’t drama between them when they decided to separate,” an insider exclusively told Us at the time. “It was something they talked through; it wasn’t a sudden breakup. They each have busy schedules and the distance made it hard.”
The Selfish author, who finalized her divorce from Kanye West in November, wasn’t the only one of her famous family members whose relationships were the talk of the town. Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barkercontinued their parade of PDA following their October 2021 engagement — and said “I do” more than once throughout the year.
Kourtney accompanied the Blink-182 musician to the 2022 Grammy Awards in Las Vegas in April, and the big night ended with an even bigger surprise. Us confirmed that the pair visited a local wedding chapel, but the spontaneous nuptials weren’t official. (The pair tied the knot in May, both at a California courthouse and in Italy.)
“I guess what happens in Vegas doesn’t always stay in Vegas. I don’t even know where to begin,” the California native teased during an October episode of The Kardashians, describing the surprise wedding. “Vegas with Travis is really fun. He’s like, ‘It’s the Grammys! It’s our first Grammys together so let’s make this the best night ever.’”
The Kourtney and Kim Take New York alum continued: “I did throw up after though and took my top off and unbuttoned my pants. I had to walk back through the hotel with a million people taking my photo. I was a hot slob kabob.”
